Dr Reyhan Panah, MBBS, FRACGP
Early Career
Dr Panah successfully completed her medical degree at the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Science, in Tehran in 2006. Over the next three years, while working as a GP, she published seven research papers in the peer-reviewed literature. During this time, Dr Panah was the recipient of the Best Researcher Award at the 7th Medical Science Research Festival of Shahid Beheshti University.
Australian General Practice Training
During 2010 and 2011, Dr Panah undertook the series of examinations and designated medical practice required to have her overseas qualifications recognised in Australia. She successfully obtained General Registration with the Australian Medical Council in 2011. She then undertook Australian General Practice training, which saw her work as a resident doctor at Eastern Health and a GP registrar at three large Melbourne medical clinics.
Current Practice & Experience
Since receiving her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2015, Dr Panah has continued her work in suburban family practice in Melbourne. During this time, she has further developed her special interest in travel medicine. Dr Panah is well versed in all aspects of pre-travel medical consultations.
